Winery Review:This is a hearty Cabernet Sauvignon with structure and concentration. Dark and intense in color. Hints of cedar and oak, with layers of raspberry, plum, mocha, and currant. Firm tannins with big fruit flavors lead to a lengthy and persistent finish. I love taking this wine to get togethers with friends. It always seems to help inspire good conversation. I probably don't need to say that a wine like this will work best with a hearty red meat dish, but I will any way
My Review: This was not a wine of my choosing, but rather one that a friend had on hand. It seems that, the darker and redder a wine, the less I like it. I am working to expand my pallet but quite honestly there was not a specific flavor I could discern past the heat and bitterness. I feel it may be the wines with a strong currant flavor that I do not like. I drank this alone without food.
